The Field
The Dog Barn Field is a large, well-maintained and secure private dog walking field, conveniently located on Staindrop Road, close to the West End of Darlington and ideally placed for Mowden, Piercebridge and Low Coniscliffe.
Designed to give dogs plenty of space to exercise, explore and enjoy time off lead, the field is available for exclusive use during your booked session. Its spacious and peaceful setting makes it suitable for all types of dogs, including nervous or reactive dogs that benefit from having a private space away from other dogs and distractions.
The field is enclosed by 6-foot-high fencing and benefits from access to fresh water and ample car parking. Surrounded by mature hedgerows and open countryside, it provides a peaceful, natural environment where dogs can enjoy the freedom to run, sniff, play and explore at their own pace.
The field can also be accessed on foot via public footpaths from Mowden.

Directions
From Darlington:
- Follow the B6279 (Staindrop Road) signposted Staindrop.
- Pass underneath the A1 and the entrance will be directly on your right.
- Park in front of the Day Care buildings and walk over the bridge to access the field.
From Peircebridge/ Walworth:
- Travel towards Darlington on the B6279 (Staindrop Road).
- The entrance to the site will be directly on your left before you pass underneath the A1.
- Park in front of the Day Care buildings and walk over the bridge to access the field.
