The Fields
South Acres Fields is a perfectly located between Darlington and Hurworth and offers exclusive use of two purpose-built dog walking fields which are great for all types of dogs and especially those that are nervous or reactive. Both fields benefit from 6-foot-high fencing, access to fresh water and secure car parking. The fields are surrounded by mature hedgerows and enjoy the beauty of the open countryside.
Adventure Field
Our Adventure Field is the largest secure dog walking field in the Darlington and Teesside area at around 7.5 acres (7.5 football pitches!) and provides enough space even for the largest and most energetic of dogs. It has a secure parking area within the field alongside a shelter for poor weather.
This field is available to book in 50 minute slots.
Training Field
The Training Field is around one acre (one football pitch) and is designed especially for smaller dogs and puppies, as well as carrying out a range of training activities and classes. The field is ideal for dogs who do not yet have a strong recall and can be used for more focused training like agility and obedience work. It has a secure parking area within the field and a shelter for poor weather.
This field is available to book in 50 minute slots.
Play Field
The Play Field is around one acre (one football pitch) and is designed especially for smaller dogs and puppies, as well as for carrying out a range of training activities and classes. The field is ideal for dogs who do not yet have a strong recall and can be used for more focused training like agility and obedience work. It has a secure parking area, some dog activity equipment within the field and a shelter for poor weather.
This field is available to book in 50 minute slots.
From the A66/ Darlington:
- From the roundabout next to Darlington Northern Echo Arena take the exit signposted Neasham/ Hurworth.
- After around 100m turn right on to Roundhill Road, signposted Hurworth.
- After around 0.6 miles the entrance to the site will be on your left.
From Hurworth:
- At the Spar Shop turn off the main street on to Roundhill Road (Turn left if traveling from the Croft direction or turn right if travelling from the Neasham direction).
- Head out of the village towards Darlington.
- Once you have passed the national speed limit signs and have travelled around 400m the entrance to the site will be on your right.
