The Fields
South Acres Fields is a perfectly located between Darlington and Hurworth and offers exclusive use of two purpose-built dog walking fields which are great for all types of dogs and especially those that are nervous or reactive. Both fields benefit from 6-foot-high fencing, access to fresh water and secure car parking. The fields are surrounded by mature hedgerows and enjoy the beauty of the open countryside.
Adventure Field
Our Adventure Field is the largest secure dog walking field in the Darlington and Teesside area, covering around 7.5 acres — that’s roughly 7.5 football pitches! With plenty of room to run, explore and play, it’s ideal for even the largest and most energetic dogs.
The field has secure in-field parking, a shelter, picnic table and a selection of jumps for dogs to enjoy. There are also areas of long grass with mown footpaths winding through them, giving dogs even more opportunities to sniff, explore and enjoy their time off lead.
The Adventure Field is available to book in 50-minute sessions, giving you exclusive use of the field for your booked time.
£14 per session Monday to Friday

Training Field
Our Training Field is a compact, one-acre secure field, offering a simple and well-maintained private space for exercising or working with your dog.
Its manageable size makes it particularly suitable for training, recall practice, quieter exercise or dogs that simply don’t need acres of open space.
The field is securely enclosed and carefully maintained, with plenty of open ground for you and your dog to enjoy. The field also has secure in-field parking, access to fresh water, a field shelter and basic seating.
The Training Field is available to book in 50-minute sessions, giving you exclusive use of the one-acre field for your booked time.
£10 per session Monday to Friday
£11 per session Saturday and Sunday
Play Field
Our Play Field is a compact, one-acre secure field, providing a simple and well-maintained private space where you can exercise, play with or spend time outdoors with your dog.
Its manageable size makes it a great choice for everyday exercise, recall practice, younger or older dogs, or anyone looking for a smaller private field.
The field is securely enclosed with open ground for dogs to explore at their own pace. The field also has secure in-field parking, access to fresh water, a field shelter and basic seating.
The Play Field is available to book in 50-minute sessions, giving you exclusive use of the one-acre field for your booked time.

From the A66/ Darlington:
- From the roundabout next to Darlington Northern Echo Arena take the exit signposted Neasham/ Hurworth.
- After around 100m turn right on to Roundhill Road, signposted Hurworth.
- After around 0.6 miles the entrance to the site will be on your left.
From Hurworth:
- At the Spar Shop turn off the main street on to Roundhill Road (Turn left if traveling from the Croft direction or turn right if travelling from the Neasham direction).
- Head out of the village towards Darlington.
- Once you have passed the national speed limit signs and have travelled around 400m the entrance to the site will be on your right.
